Dear Ride Drive,
I have owned a ‘R’ registered TVR Chimaera for the last 2-years and would like to replace the battery. As I don’t use the car often I often charge the battery with a battery charger, but now it will not respond any more.
I have tried to get the battery out of the car, but it seems to be part of a sealed unit – or am I missing the trick? Please can you help? Also, do I need to go to a main dealer for the replacement battery or can I do this myself from any battery supplier? Which battery would I need?
I
live in Bath and there are no main dealers in this area any more so your help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Frederic will have to lie on the ground next to the car on the passenger side and be in a position to reach the underside in the area of the front of the passenger foot well. There are two bolds that disappear into the car vertically under the battery carrier. He needs to remove these bolts and the battery carrier can be removed from the foot well.
There are a coupe of pop rivets to remove prior to releasing the battery. HE will need a 072 battery of exactly the same dimensions
