This 8-hour course takes a more detailed look at progressing your ability and is aimed at those who wish to take their riding skills up to another level. We will show you how to handling your bike effectively and safely in a road environment, and how to make real progress, without attracting the wrong sort of attention or breaking any rules.
The input you receive is applied largely on a practical riding basis and will be tailored to suit your own needs and level of ability. From start to finish this is about is developing a high level of accuracy and ability that will give you the skills to enjoy your bike and to help ensure you see how much satisfaction can be realised through safe, practical and yet progressive riding methods.
We are very keen that whatever rider's course you undertake that it will be exactly right for you, and we will make every effort to incorporate those elements that you would like to develop most inyour ride. However, there will be certain ingredients that will form the foundation of every training option, as these will form the backbone of the development of your new riding style.
The Full-Day Rider's Course has all the ingedients and attributes of the Short-Day course, but these will be visited in a more intense maner. We then add ingredients such as effective choice of gear ratios, a systemised style of riding incorporating power application and management, road environment management, as well as effective use of the attributes of your particular machine in terms of handling and other performance properties.
Depending upon where you want to take your level of ability, you can choose to complete a single day with us, or multiples of days, depending upon your particular needs or aspirations.
Taking your bike through a series of bends, navigating rural roads whilst maintaining a smooth, progressive and flowing ride will give you all the thrills that good road riding can bring. If that is what you are looking for we can give all of that, and more, all in one neat package.

Harry Lucas – Cambridge – BMW 1150RT
Tim was brilliant, obviously vastly more experienced and knowledgeable than myself. He never spoke down to me, but treated me as an equal. I am glad I took the course over 2–sessions as it gave me time to take on board and practice the improvements that Tim pointed out. Overall, a very rewarding experience. With Tim’s advice I feel I am already a more confidence and improved motorcyclist. Keep up the good work.
Stephen Fry – Southampton – Yamaha R1
"It was useful to know how to read the roads; bends in particular. I have a powerful bike and was always nervous on B roads. By the end of the day my confidence and my ability were greatly improved. Overall it was highly enjoyable, professional instruction, although it is quite expensive. I have already given positive comments to some of my friends."
Jack Turnbull – Newcastle Upon Tyne – Triumph Bonneville
“Administration was very good. The riding day was very informative. I came away with one major problem resolved and a few others improved.”
John Crosby - West Malling, Kent - BMW 1200GS
"It was useful gaining the practical demonstration of the motorcycle system of control. Rob is an excellent rider and trainer who brought to life positioning for safety, which was critical for me. Ride Drive provides an excellent tailor made approach to motorcycle training. Getting one on one attention from one of the best police riders in the country was all and more than I could have wished. Thoroughly recommended."
