Hi Julian,

I went on my days advanced driving course today, 3–hrs up to Bruntingthope airfield learning all kinds of advanced driving techniques, system of car control, positioning, cornering, bend assessment, brakes, gears, perception, safe overtaking etc.

Then an hour on the airfield learning about what the car can do and what happens when you get it wrong etc. (a controlled spin from lift of over steer at near on 90 MPH, and one that wasn’t so controlled!) I had a great time and really feel I learnt a lot, feel a lot safer, and also learning that smoothness and rhythm will extend the life of the cars components etc. (a definite plus).

We then drove back putting it all together and it was amazing how I noticed the difference in my own driving – I always considered I was an OK driver, but after today I know I am a lot better, but there is still so much to learn.
