There are two key components to our success.
-
The development of an understanding as to the effect the driver had upon a vehicle by the way in which they drive it; an appreciation that goes far beyond what to most is just the random operation of levers, pedals and a steering wheel. We encourage people to become an integral part of the car so they understand it more thoroughly, and so develop the ability to remain within the boundaries of vehicle control.
- The second key area is the development of attitude to ensure that a more responsible outlook is taken each and every time the driver takes their car to the road.
The intended learning outcome of the standard range of options will be that each candidate will be encouraged to increase their understanding of the following areas:
- the effect they will have upon a vehicle through their method in operating the driving controls
- how to increase forward, peripheral and rearward observation
- to increase spatial awareness and sense of anticipation
- identify and manage hazards effectively
- increase accuracy, perception of danger and implement effective safety measures
- make accurate bend assessment and develop cornering procedures
- adopt defensive vehicle positioning techniques
- the development of anticipation skills in respect of the preparation and execution of overtaking manoeuvres
- effective motorway driving procedures, personal safety, dealing with emergencies
- speed awareness and driver environment management
- third party perception awareness
- conflict prevention and general driving provisions
Following the conclusion of the programme our detailed written analysis, consisting of a 5-page driver profile report, will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown to show the degree of progress that each participant has made over the development period. Each successful participant will also receive a high-quality printed certificate to celebrate their success and to help them feel proud of what they have achieved.
