At Ride Drive we has developed a unique post–test driver training course, which carries a National Framework Qualification at Level–3, accredited by the Open College Network, Credit 4 Learning (OCN).
This driver training course comprises of a 3–day programme and is delivered as two–days of practical road driver skills and a further day of classroom based theory. By presenting the training programme in this way, each candidate will stand the best chance of gaining a complete and thorough understanding of the principles of approved advanced driving methods.
No Previous Advanced Driving Experience Required
It is intended the driving techniques that are promoted by the course will compliment an existing level of driving experience and ability, unlike the methods used by many other driver–training companies. It seems that many other organisations seem to believe everyone should be moulded into the same shape, but the Ride Drive Class–One Driving Course, by contrast, is a totally flexible training package that is built around the needs and aspirations of the individual.
The course begins with a day of theory training, covering the essential componants of defensive driving methods, components, such as The System of Car Control and how this might me used for planning and preparation for hazards, overtaking and maintaining better control over the vehicle by being in the right gear at the right time and in the right positionon the road. This information will be learned from the course pre–read document, Highway Code and copy of Roadcraft, the Police Drivers Manual.
Thw theory presentation and test is followed by two full days of intensive practical road skills development that is delivered by our team of advanced driving specialists, who come from an emergency services driving background. You will be helped through each element of the programme, making sure that all points are understood and learning outcomes are achieved. The great thing about this course is that whilst it maintains a high standard of driver training, it still remains flexible enough to be tailored to the needs of the individual, so as to fulfil individual requirements.
The objectives of The Class–One Driving Course are direct and to the point.
- To develop a high level of knowledge within each candidate whilst in both a practical and theory based learning environments
- To guide each candidate to achieve the required learning outcome
- To provide the practical driving skills to equip each candidate with the knowledge and ability to drive a motor vehicle on a roads to a consistently high standard.
- To develop a sense of professionalism towards driver behaviour and a sense of responsibility towards others
- To preserve and to protect the candidate from becoming involved in a road incident or collision
- To develop an increased sense of awareness to enhance personal safety for the common good of all.
