Honda Revolutions Car Club Meet 2007

This Honda Revolutions car club meeting took place at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in Warwickshire on Sunday 25th March 2007 and was attended by Honda Civic drivers, Honda NSX, Honda Prelude, Honda Accord and many others.
"It’s traditional at these meetings" she said. "If it wasn’t like Siberia it wouldn’t be normal." This was Sammy Ashton I was speaking to, head of Honda Revolutions, a Honda car enthusiasts group who had travelled from all over the UK to meet at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in Warwickshire.
As she spoke she was trying to keep her long hair from covering her face as the cold wind whipped around us, making the tips of our ears smart, and for me at least, to get a dewdrop on the end of my nose.
Honda Revolutions was launched in April 2000 as a result of a small band of like–minded enthusiasts who got together to form a Club devoted to the ownership of Honda cars. Originally called Honda–R (from a Club previously run by Alan Tang of Pow’R) the name was changed as a response to the many enquiries from people wanting to join, but mistakenly believing it was for those with Type R’s only.
Honda Cars Have an Enthusiastic Following
Although this was our first time at this event, we were advised that conditions on the day were actually better than had been in most previous years.
This information was of little comfort, as it was still flippin’ cold to me, but that didn’t seem to chill the enthusiasm of the members who turned up in impressive numbers to admire each other’s machinery and to chat about all things Honda.
There were Accords, Integra’s, Civics, CRX’s X–Trails and a whole rake of Honda NSX’s looking every inch the super car they are. In fact it was an impressive turnout, both in car model variety as well as the numbers present.
Ride Drive Promoting Advanced Driver Training Courses
Ride Drive were on tap to hand out brochures, to answer questions and to spread the word about the amazing and well established Adrian Flux 25% discount car insurance scheme available to those drivers who completed a an 8–hour programme or more with Ride Drive and assessed to be at a low collision risk category of driver.
The discount applies when renewing motor insurance cover through Adrian Flux Insurance Services, a forward thinking motor insurance services provider that has shown to be capable of thinking outside the box.
We didn’t push ourselves onto people, but quietly left them with the information to perhaps read at a later time and to decide if Ride Drive could be of assistance to them, helping each driver to gain more excitement out of their Honda ownership experience.
Honda Revolutions were found to be a friendly and good natured bunch of people who were always up for a bit of car talk and to happily show you around their car, of which they are obviously so proud.

Sadly, Honda Revolutions disbanded in 2008, but has been reincarnated as Honda Evolutions, a thriving Internet message board for conversations about everything to do with the marque. So, if you are a Honda car owner, or indeed if you are just an enthusiast of the brand, join the Honda community at Honda Evolutions.
