Honda Revolutions was launched in April 2000 when a small band of like-minded enthusiasts wanted to form a Club devoted to Honda cars. Originally called Honda-R (from a Club previously run by Alan Tang of Pow-R) the name was changed in response to the many enquiries from people wanting to join, but mistakenly believing it was for those with Type R’s only.

Although this was our first time at this event, we were advised that conditions on the day were actually better than had been in most previous years.  This information was of little comfort, as it was still flippin’ cold to me, but that didn’t seem to chill the enthusiasm of the members who turned up in impressive numbers to admire each other’s machinery and to chat about all things Honda.

There were Accords, Integra’s, Civics, CRX’s X-Trails and a whole rake of NSX’s looking every inch the super car that they are.  In fact it was an impressive turnout, both in car model variety as well as the numbers present.

We were on tap to hand out brochures, answer questions and to spread the word about the amazing 25% motor insurance discount available to those drivers who completed a programme with us and who were assessed to be in a low risk category of driver. The discount applies when renewing their cover through Adrian Flux Insurance, who are a forward thinking company who have shown they are capable of thinking outside the box..  We didn’t push ourselves onto people, but quietly left them with the information to perhaps read at a later time and to decide if Ride Drive could be of assistance to them in helping each driver to gain more excitement out of their Honda ownership experience.
