The First Step Advanced Driving Course is a driver development package that has been awarded the status of a national framework level-2 qualification by a leading UK educational training establishment, the Open College Network (OCN). The fact it is accredited by the OCN means that for those who successfully complete the course, they will be awarded with a certificate that is actually recognised in the form of being a national standard qualification.

Whilst it may represent an entry level option to our range of accredited advanced driver training courses, The First Step Advanced Driving Course is by no means basic in content.  Through a process of assessment and development any driver who successfully completes the course will have attained a secure level of understanding of the type of vehicle they drive, as well as how to use it safely and effectively within a public road environment.

The course consists of an 8-hour training period and has clear objectives.  It is comprehensive in its content and is delivered with energy and enthusiasm, focusing on key areas of driving competencies.  It is also totally flexible in that it can be tailored for the development of individual needs, as well as used to address more general training issues.
