We will assist you to realise the performance potential of both yourself and your car and to discover how inappropriate driver input will produce an adverse effect on your level of car control.
Having discovered the 'Dark Side' of your car, in terms of handling behaviour, and sharpened your vehicle handling skills, we test your reflexes and car control skills on a proper wet-surface skid pan. This is an hour-long period, where using a supplied vehicle, you develop an in-depth level of knowledge of the three causes of skidding, how to avoid a skid and how you can control a car effectively on a slippery surface.
At the end of these airfield exercises it’s time for a lunch at a friendly and pleasant village public house where you have the chance to reflect upon and to discuss the activities of the morning.

It has to be said that the Yorkshire counties offer some of the most exciting and picturesque roads in Great Britain and after lunch you will guided through some of the very best of them as you begin to get to grips with a whole new system of driving a car, a system that may well break with your current driving style. Working with the car, instead of being at odds with it, we begin to show you how you can realise far more from the experience of driving your car and your potential to make smooth unobtrusive progress in a public road driving environment.
At the end of the day you return to the comfort and tranquillity of the hotel to relax and enjoy a splendid evening meal whilst soaking up the atmosphere of this beautiful historic setting.
The following morning, and after another magnificent breakfast, you are again greeted by your personal advanced driving specialist before setting off into the spectacular Yorkshire countryside for the 2nd full-day of the programme. By drawing upon the experience of the handling and skid pan sessions of the previous day you will find that this is where you really start to connect with your car and in far more depth that you may not have previously thought was possible.
