In this day and age we are becoming more and more used to living within a culture of health and safety. We see it in the work place, public exhibitions and events, as well as on construction sites - just to give a few examples. Health and safety is also important when we use a vehicle on a road, especially if we are doing so for some job related purpose.

As well as improving your driving skills, by developing your ability to an advanced level, Ride Drive can also provide you with a written risk assessment, which can serve the purpose of indicating what areas of your driving routine remain under developed and may require further input, or it may be that your motor insurance provider will give you a discount against the cost of your annual premium if they can see that you represent a low level of insurance risk.

We have been carrying out risk assessments on car drivers and motorcyclists for a long time, and we have become very good at it. This has been recognised by Adrian Flux Insurance, for example, who have developed such faith in our judgement that company will discount your insurance cover when purchased through them by 25%.

If you wish for a risk assessment to be completed during your Ride Drive Advanced Driving Experience, this can be done at a small additional cost, but it will not interfere with the content or format of the driving session. All it means is that your Ride Drive advanced driving specilaist wil need to complete some additional paperwork.

There is another purpose that a Ride Drive driver risk assessment report can serve, and that is where a motorist has found themselves looking at appearing in court for a driving offence, such as excessive speed, that is likely to bring about a period of disqualification. Whilst we can never be sure to stop you losing your licence at court, there are plenty of occcasions where we have managed to help sway the decision of the bench against that happening. If it is important enough to you that you remain on the road, then it can be worth a try, and in any case, it will certainly help prevent that awful scenario from happening again.
