Ride Drive has always been at the forefront of driver development, and has always taken a different and innovative approach towards improving driver performance and safety.  This is because all our advanced road driving programmes are structured upon the framework of the police advanced system of car control and ensure that each driver development session contains those elements that will best enhance the ability and safety factor of each individual candidate.  As well as being appropriate and relevant to their needs the training will also aim to make sure that every participant will achieve his or her desired learning outcome, putting to an end the uncertainty as to what type of driver you have on your fleet, and whether they can cope with the tasks they are given to complete.

With a team of advanced driving specialists providing a wide geographical coverage, Ride Drive have the ability to provide you with your desired training needs on a national level.  All Ride Drive training programmes are only carried out only by using the right people for the right job; people who work with a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm and who deliver to an extremely high standard. Ride Drive customers can be sure of receiving the best quality and a no-nonsense level of service that will bring out the very best in everyone.

There are two key components to our success.

  1. The development of an understanding as to the effect the driver had upon a vehicle by the way in which they drive it; an appreciation that goes far beyond what to most is just the random operation of levers, pedals and a steering wheel.  We encourage people to become an integral part of the car so they understand it more thoroughly, and so develop the ability to remain within the boundaries of vehicle control.
  2. The second key area is the development of attitude to ensure that a more responsible outlook is taken each and every time the driver takes their car to the road.

The intended learning outcome of the standard range of options will be that each candidate will be encouraged to increase their understanding of the following areas:

  • the effect they will have upon a vehicle through their method in operating the driving controls
  • how to increase forward, peripheral and rearward observation
  • to increase spatial awareness and sense of anticipation
  • identify and manage hazards effectively
  • increase accuracy, perception of danger and implement effective safety measures
  • make accurate bend assessment and develop cornering procedures
  • adopt defensive vehicle positioning techniques
  • the development of anticipation skills in respect of the preparation and execution of overtaking manoeuvres
  • effective motorway driving procedures, personal safety, dealing with emergencies
  • speed awareness and driver environment management
  • third party perception awareness
  • conflict prevention and general driving provisions

Following the conclusion of the programme our detailed written analysis, consisting of a 5-page driver profile report, will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown to show the degree of progress that each participant has made over the development period.  Each successful participant will also receive a high-quality printed certificate to celebrate their success and to help them feel proud of what they have achieved.

Wherever possible, Ride Drive will deliver your training programme within your local area so you can avoid time and money being wasted through travelling and accommodation costs. Thsi option can either be completed as a toally 1:1 driver training experience, or you have the even more economical option of doubling people up in each vehicle as a 2:1 training scenario.
